Sai Vidya Institute of Technology is an engineering college in Bengaluru, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, recognised by Government of Karnataka and approved by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi, India. It was established in the year 2008 by Sri Sai Vidya Vikas Shikshana Samithi (SSVVSS) which is a trust formed by a team of professors under the leadership of Prof M.R.Holla, a recipient of Karnataka Rajyothsava Award in recognition of his unparalleled services to technical education as Principal of RVCE (20 Years). The team consists of Prof. Y. Jayasimha, Prof. R.C. Shanmukha Swamy, Prof.A.M.Padma Reddy, Sri. Srinivas Raju, Sri Manohar.M.K and Sri. Narayan Raju.

The campus has a total built-up area of 19000 sq.m consisting of three interconnected blocks with separate entrances for each. Each block houses class room wings, laboratory wings, department wings, staff rooms, washrooms and common room. Each floor houses a department with a separate cabin for HOD and corporate style staff cabins with basic computer, internet and communication infrastructure. Separate washrooms for staff, girls and boys and separate common rooms for boys and girls have been provided in all the floors. 32 spacious and well ventilated class rooms of 100 sq.m each and 5 tutorial rooms with an area of 50 sq.m each provided with comfortable desks (2 Seater) and basic requirements to accommodate more than sixty students. The Laboratory wing one on each floor contains about 6 laboratories with an average of 500-600 sq.m depending on department requirements. The laboratories are well laid out with effectively configured furniture integrated with standard quality instruments. All equipments are procured from reputed vendors. A total of 25 laboratories of 100-200 sq.m in area with modern equipments have been set up in the college.
The BE degree course is of 4 academic years divided into 8 semesters of 16 weeks each. The university will conduct examinations at the end of each semester. As per the university regulations, a candidate should have a minimum attendance of 85% in each subject per semester. A student having shortage of attendance in one or more subjects shall have to repeat the whole semester and such candidates shall not be permitted to take admission to the next higher semester. A student admitted to 1st year B.E/ B.Tech. shall complete the course within a period of eight academic years from the date of first admission, failing which he/she has to discontinue the course. The students admitted under lateral entry scheme (2nd Year B.E./B.Tech.) shall complete the course within a period of 6 academic years from the date of first admission, failing which he/she has to discontinue the course.

The Placement and Training Centre is headed by an experienced and well qualified faculty Dr. Jogish D, B.Com, MBA, Ph.D.The training wing consistently researches and interacts with recruiters to understand their expectations from prospective students and creates and executes an annual roadmap for training. Students are trained in communication skillsand other soft skills in the first year itself to prepare them for Industry expectations. Training on Technical, Aptitude and other essential techniques to solve logical and aptitude problems to improvise on their conversational, oratory skills, personality and competency in strengthening the technical concepts is imparted by the end of their third year course. By this process, they are enabled to satisfy the expectations of the industry.
