The department has actively collaborated with industry partners to enhance research, innovation, and experiential learning. A Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI–ML) has been established in association with Lab to Market, an IISc startup, to build an ecosystem that supports research-driven startups and promotes multidisciplinary collaboration.
Faculty and students participated in several industry-led events, including the IoT Security Foundations at Sasken Technologies, Connection 25 by the India Internet Engineering Society at Microsoft Reactor, and the Responsible AI Summit at Infosys. They also engaged in Cybersecurity sessions at CDAC and the DeepTech.AI Conclave at Ericsson, gaining insights into emerging technologies.
