15th August, 2018 was a day of immense pride and joy for all Indians alike. It marked the 72st anniversary of India’s Independence. On this day, we Indians celebrated our heroes and freedom fighters that sacrificed their lives for the nation, and brought us freedom, peace, and joy.
At sai vidya institute of technology, we celebrated Independence Day with great pride and enthusiasm. The day started off with a hearty welcome to the faculty, guest members and students. This was followed by hoisting the national flag, by the academic toppers of both NSS, and was followed by the National Anthem.
After this, the Principal gave a deeply enriching and patriotic speech that greatly motivated both the faculty and the students, alike. A beautiful rendition of our national song ‘VandeMataram’, rendered by a team of students.
