The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) in Sai Vidya Institute of Technology is approved by AICTE and is affiliated to VTU, Belagavi started from the academic year 2021-22 with an intake of 60 and subsequently increased an intake to 120 students for the academic year 2022-23.
The Department is headed by Dr. T G Manjunath, who has more than two decades of teaching experience along with research in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning. The Department is assembling a well-qualified faculties having 10+ years of average teaching experience with extensive research and industrial experience. It is committed to providing rigorous training to students in order to gain knowledge in Artificial Intelligence concepts and technologies.
The Department practices Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and has an adequate infrastructure with state-of-the-art laboratories and other supporting facilities to provide enhanced learning environment. The Department attracts the best of engineering aspirants from all over the country.
Industry 4.0 demands smart systems integrated with intelligence to have better human-machine interface. To cope up with upcoming emerging industrial demands, it is expected to bring translational skills among the students of the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning undergraduate programme to meet the expectations of the industry.

PEOs are broad statements that describe the career and professional accomplishments that the program is preparing graduates to achieve:
PEO 1 : Graduates will have the ability to Analyze, Develop and Apply Innovative ideas to solve real-world problems using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques.
PEO 2 : To pursue higher studies, Graduates will have the ability to contribute novel and scientific research-oriented methods in the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning area.
