SANGAMA

Sangama is called confluence – particularly the joining of two or more rivers. Examples are Cauvery Sangama. One would have heard the famous Kumbha Mela at Allahabad where Ganga, Yamuna and mysterious Sarasvathi join. This point is said to be very sacred since more than two sacred rivers join at this point. Religious-bent people would like to have a dip in Sangama. There is a belief that the people can wash their sins by doing so. In total, some sacredness can be experienced at the confluence of rivers.

Even otherwise, Sangama sounds, something revered – whether it is applicable to rivers, Gods or even human beings.

Such a sacred name has been kept for the confluence of all talented students who are talented in different fields. Any special talent is stemmed into their respective families. Of course, some talents are practiced with utmost discipline and hard work demanded by the talent. Talent and culture usually go together. All good cultures and associated talents would develop by constant practice with utmost determination following certain established systems which may not be possible for those who do not have passion to develop such talent. Such talents include all types of arts such as singing, acting, dancing drawing sketches, and even speaking artistically, etc. which may be oriental or occidental.

Everybody cannot become Dr Rajkumar, Dr M Balamurali Krishna or Ms Manju Bhargavi. Stiff to very stiff practice can only make them becoming competent and to reach the zenith. Such talented persons stand conspicuously in the society. We have come across such people in the past, the present and even in the future. They are specially respected and adored. They form celebrities rather. They remain parallel only to themselves and none else.

One studies in an educational institution for acquiring knowledge which will meet the livelihood of a person. But the talent that is acquired will give special status for a person and the way such person looked upon by the public will be entirely different rather special.

Therefore, at this juncture, it is suggested that every student to explore the talent hidden in themselves and develop the same. If such innate qualities are not developed voluntarily, chose a particular talent based upon the adoptability of body and mind and develop the talent with utmost efforts which will put such person at a different altitude.

Under the circumstance, Sangama, a ‘cultural group’ at Sai Vidya Institute of Technology comprises of such specially talented students and they deserve special appreciation from all corners of the society, not only when they are just students but even after, provided they nourish their talent suitably.
