The Sports Department is headed by Mr. VIJAY KUMAR S, B.A, B.P.Ed, M. P.Ed, M.Phil specialized in Athletics, Basketball,Volleyball and Football with experience of over 15 years. The Sports Department serves as a vital and integral part of student's life on campus. The mission of the department is to provide a broad spectrum of sports, recreation and leisure activities for students, staff and faculty, as well as members of the local community.

The National Service scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India which was begun in 1969. Its primary aim is personality development through social (or community) service. The NSS motto is ―Not Me, But You‖ The NSS unit of the college has 500 student members and approved by VTU. The unit is headed by Prof. Sanjay H M, Asst. Professor & NSS Program Officer.

The social activities aim to include social welfare in students, and to provide service to society without bias. NSS volunteers work to ensure that everyone who is needy gets help to enhance their standard of living and lead life of dignity. The Sai Vidya Institute of Technology students actively participated in events conducted on behalf of Sai Vidya Institute of Technology NSS unit.

Alumni meet of Sai Vidya Institute of Technology was organized at college campus on 30th of March 2019. The event coincided with the second day celebrations of cultural fest Sanchalana. Alumni participants were also invited to present cultural programs on Sanchalana stage in the evening session. Official inauguration of alumni association was held at the college seminar hall in the forenoon. The Director Prof M.R. Holla , Principal Dr. H.S Ramesh Babu, Additional Director Prof A.M.Padma Reddy and HODs of all departments and Deans were the dignitaries of the occasion.

Graduation Day is the biggest day of one's life.
