About Rotaract:

Rotaract is a service club for young people ages 18 and up who are dedicated to finding innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges while developing leadership skills and making friends from around the world.

Rotaract focuses on the development of young adults as leaders in their communities and workplaces. Clubs around the world also take part in international service projects, in a global effort to bring peace and international understanding to the world.

"Rotaract" stands for Rotary in Action, although the name originally comes from a combination of Rotar and Interact (International + Action), the high school level program created by Rotary International in 1962.

Objectives:

• Rotaract clubs are members of Rotary International. Rotaract clubs decide how to organize and run their own clubs, manage their funds, and plan and carry out activities and service projects that are important to their communities.
Rotaract clubs are started by motivated and passionate individuals who wish to hone their leadership skills and plan projects that make a difference locally and globally.
• Each Rotaract club is based either at a university or in a community. A university-based club draws its members from one school, university, college, or other institution of higher education, while a community-based club draws members from all over the community.
• Participation in Rotaract club helps in gaining Professional Networking, Service Opportunities, International Awareness, Ethical Environment, Leadership Development, Service Opportunities, International Awareness, Ethical Environment, Leadership Development.
• One can also obtain Friendship, Good Citizenship, Youth and Family, Entertainment, Friendship, Good Citizenship, Entertainment.
