Gist of the Event (Few sentences regarding technical contents of the event)

Webinar was organized for  4th, 6th and 8th semester of ISE and CSE Department, in order to make them gain knowledge about the following:

Webinar focused on providing an idea to students in preparing for Competitive exam.  The Civil Services exam is the doorway to exciting careers in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and more.  Students should target two subjects every day. If students are really an UPSC aspirant then should start preparing for exams right from college days as the syllabus contains mostly of 6th to 12th standard books and keep making notes and sit for 10-12 hours before a year of the exam.  Students will need more time to learn and understand the UPSC pattern. The time required may be 6 months for someone or one year for the other. Students were given information about Prelims and Mains exam pattern. The Civil Services exam takes place in 3 stages; Preliminary exam (Prelims) consisting of objective-type multiple choice questions, the Mains exams which is an essay-type written exam, and a Personal Interview. The 3 stages are separated by a gap of 1-2 months. Also discussed about salary structure of IAS officer.
