‘CYCLETHONE’ ON THE EVE OF ‘FIT INDIA MOVEMENT’ AT SAI VIDYA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

On the eve of ‘FIT INDIA MOVEMENT’, under the aegis of AICTE, Ministry of Higher Education, ‘CYCLETHONE’ was organized by the NSS wing of Sai Vidya Institute of Technology, Rajanukunte, Bangalore 560 064 on Friday, December 18, 2020.  Under ‘CYCLETHONE’, cycling was arranged for a distance of 15 Kms to put to test the physical and mental fitness of the participants.   As a response, a huge number of participants aged between 20-70 years comprising of Students, Alumni of the Institution, Teachers, and staff including HODs and Professors had participated with undivided zeal and enthusiasm. 

Dr. H S Ramesh Babu, Principal, Sai Vidya Institute of Technology welcomed the participants and inaugurated the program by himself cycling for some distance to encourage the participants. Dr. H T Harisha, NSS Officer, and Mr. K Vijayakumar, Physical Education Director made elaborate arrangements for the participants to proceed with utmost discipline giving ‘safety’ paramount importance.  MBA Department of the Institution made arrangements for lunch and lemon juice on the way.

In the conclusion, the Principal welcoming back the participants appreciated the participants and said that Sai Vidya Institute of Technology had never missed and will never miss such an opportunity to inculcate in the students and the staff the necessity to keep the tempo of ‘togetherness’, maintenance of ‘good health’ and ‘hale personality’ all along the lifetime in order to stay fit and ever ready coupled with integrity, solidarity and altruism to serve the society they are staying in to meet any eventuality for the safety, the security of and tranquility in the society.
