In the eve of increasing competition, the faculty fraternity of Department of ECE and EEE has started with a new venture “A Step Ahead”. The forum provides in-house training for The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) which is an all-India examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in Engineering and Science, jointly conducted by the Indian Institute of Science and Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India every year.
The program is designed by experienced and committed professors. The main aim is to help our students to realize their dreams and to be successful Engineers. The courses will concentrate on improving the fundamentals of students in all the core Engineering subjects through well designed classes, thus helping them to crack GATE. This enables our students to get admissions for the post graduate programs at India’s top most eminent universities. In addition to GATE training, the program’s motto is to inculcate interest in research through hobby projects and paper publications.
The endeavor was inaugurated on 3rd Feb 2016 in the presence of Prof. M.R. Holla, Director, SVIT, Prof. Y. Jayasimha, Prof and Dean Academics, SVIT, Dr. H.S. Ramesh Babu, Principal, SVIT, Dr. ChitraKiran .N, Prof and Head Dept. of ECE, Prof. T.GManjunathAsst Prof &Head Dept. of EEE and Prof. Mukesh Kumar, Assoc. Professor, Dept. of ECE.
The program will be covering 10 core subjects in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering domain, each of 20hrs duration, with 20 test series. The test series are carefully planned to track the students progress and for continuous monitoring.
