An educational trip was planned and students of 6th sem civil were taken to the educational trip from 05/05/2017 to 07/05/2017 which included places like KRS dam and Balmuri falls of Mysore, Supa dam and Power house of Dandeli etc.,

Total of 39 students and 2 staff had been to the educational trip.

1.AQUEDUCT AT BALMURI.

Description: Aqueduct is an irrigation structure constructed along the canal when it crosses a natural drain.

Features: Canal bed level will be higher than maximum flood level in the drain (stream)

2.SUPER PASSAGE AND CANAL AT KRS

Description: Super passage is an irrigation structure provided in canal where natural drain is above the full supply level of canal.

3.CANAL REGULATOR AT BALMURI.

Description: Canal Regulator is an Irrigation structure used to control the discharge in the canal.

Features: Gates, Bridge, Piers and abutments

The places visited in the educational trip will help the students for the Hydraulic structures and Irrigation Designing and Drawing. The visit will surely be an experience to the students to design structures in future.
