The final year students from Sai Vidya Institute of Technology(SVIT) have bagged the 1st prize in Visvesvaraya Technological University, organized on 28th June 2018 at ‘JnanaSangama’, VTU, Belagavi as part of 20th VTU Foundation Day Celebration. The 400 engineering students from various affiliated engineering colleges exhibited over 129 projects.

The judges from reputed colleges and industry CEO’s were happy with Novelty, innovation, creativity, research content and commercialization of the project model including a newer concept of image processing made to win 1st place in the competition. The main objective of the project is muti-utility agriculture robot, helpful for the framers in the basic farming activities like plowing, sowing of seeds, water sprinkling, leveling of land etc. it also helps farmers in the monitoring of plants disease through image processing. Mr. AkshayUppin, Mr. Abhiskek N Vasisht, Mr. ChandrakanthRaghuveer N and Mr. Nagabhargav M S develop the model, under the guidance of Mr. Pavan Kumar E, Asst.Prof from Department of ECE.
